Is Something in Your Mouth Holding Back Your Healing?

Many patients come to us not because they’re looking for a new dentist, but because they’re looking for answers. Maybe they’ve been working with a functional medicine practitioner, following a healing protocol like the Bale Doneen Method, the Bredesen Protocol, the Pompa program, or simply suspect there’s something going on in their mouth that isn’t showing up on routine exams.
That’s why we created the Advanced Dental Screening (ADS).
A Deeper Look at Your Oral Health
This one-hour appointment gives you a comprehensive, health-centered assessment of your mouth, jaw, and oral microbiome—without needing to become part of our ongoing hygiene program. It’s ideal for patients who are:
Seeking safe amalgam removal using SMART protocols
Interested in ozone or biologic dental treatments (like zirconia implants or ceramic fillings)
Working with healthcare practitioners who suspect a hidden dental infection may be interfering with healing
One of our current patients wanting a more in-depth analysis
The goal? To uncover the factors that may be silently contributing to chronic inflammation, toxic load, or systemic symptoms.
What’s Included in the ADS?
Your screening appointment is performed by our clinic coordinator and includes a suite of advanced diagnostics:
CBCT Scan
We use the Planmeca CBCT, the lowest-radiation 3D imaging available. This scan lets us see:
Asymptomatic dental infections (especially from root canals or cavitations)
Jawbone density and health
Temporomandibular joints (TMJ) and airway structure
Signs of calcified carotid arteries (a risk factor for heart disease)
Sinus health, including polyps, inflammation, and deviated septum
These are things that simply can’t be seen on traditional 2D dental x-rays.
Salivary Testing
We collect a saliva sample and send it to Bristle, a lab that analyzes your oral microbiome. You’ll learn:
If your mouth has imbalanced bacteria (a key factor in gum disease, cavities, or bad breath)
What’s contributing to your oral inflammation
How to support better oral health at home with tailored recommendations
iTero 3D Scan
This high-resolution scan creates a digital model of your teeth and bite. It helps us:
Show you detailed visuals of your teeth and gums
Identify issues like wear, crowding, or changes over time
Improve communication around your treatment options
OralID Oral Cancer Screening
This non-invasive tool uses fluorescence technology to detect early cellular changes that may indicate oral cancer—often before they can be seen by the naked eye. Early detection saves lives, and we include this screen in every ADS.
What Happens After the Screening?
We take time to thoroughly evaluate your results. Then, 4–6 weeks later, you’ll have a 1-hour consultation with Dr. Riley, either via Zoom or in person. During that appointment, we’ll:
Review your findings in detail
Discuss your health goals
Create a customized treatment plan
Make any necessary referrals
Cost and Access
The total cost for the ADS process—including diagnostics and follow-up consultation—is $500.This appointment is open to both existing patients and non-patients. You are not required to switch dentists and will not be joining our hygiene program.
If you’re experiencing active gum disease or infection, we require that those issues be addressed with your regular dentist before moving forward with elective treatment here.
Ready to Schedule?
