Where Whole-Body Health Begins With Your Smile

At Midway Family Dental we want to partner with you for prevention, healing, and lifelong wellness through biologic, minimally invasive dentistry.

Our Mission

Improve health through patient-centered, preventive, root-cause, strategic dentistry.

Our Vision

To be the example of holistic dental care, partnering with patients to prevent or heal disease, and to restore and maintain health through life. We are committed to using minimally invasive techniques and the least harmful materials.

A Health-Centered Approach

At the heart of our practice are three pillars that support our commitment to truly health-centered, holistic dental care.

Prevention First

We focus on prevention to avoid disease before it starts. With the latest technology and AI tools, we can detect enamel changes long before they become visible or cause pain. Saliva testing allows us to monitor shifts in your oral microbiome — spotting imbalances even before symptoms appear. Prevention isn’t just proactive — it’s powerful.

Root Cause Healing

Doing everything “right” but still getting new cavities? Can’t find the source of persistent bad breath? We go beyond surface symptoms to uncover the deeper causes of oral health challenges. From diet and airway health to microbiome imbalances and systemic inflammation, we explore the whole picture — so you can stop chasing problems and start healing at the source.

Biocompatible, Minimally
Invasive Care

We use the safest materials and methods to protect your whole-body health. Our digital X-rays offer the lowest radiation available. We research every material we use, incorporate ozone to avoid harsh chemicals, and support alternative treatments that minimize toxic exposure — because what goes in your mouth affects your whole body.

Meet Dr. Riley

Owner and Dentist for Midway Family Dental

Dr. Riley is passionate about redefining dental care through a biologic, health-centered approach. She grew up in Bowling Green, KY, and came to Lexington to play Division I softball for the University of Kentucky, where she pitched and hit for the Wildcats. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and went on to complete her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, finishing in the top 10 of her class.

Dr. Riley is a SMART-certified practitioner through the IAOMT and trained in ozone therapy to support natural healing and reduce the need for harsh chemicals. She has been a member of both the IAOMT and AAOSH since 2018, and now serves on the board of AAOSH, helping advance the field of oral-systemic dentistry. As a HealthyStart provider, she believes prevention begins at birth — and that early intervention sets children on the path to lifelong health.

She is also a Buteyko Breathing Instructor trained under Patrick McKeown, and has completed the Bale Doneen Preceptorship for heart attack and stroke prevention, with a focus on the dentist’s critical role. Under the mentorship of Dr. Tom Larkin, she utilizes The Larkin Protocol and oral microscopy to educate patients on how the mouth truly reflects the body.

Dr. Riley is deeply committed to lifelong learning, minimally invasive dentistry, and partnering with patients to restore and maintain true health. Outside the office, she gives softball lessons, enjoys reading and gardening, and loves spending time with her dog, Blue.
